Description

Young readers and listeners anywhere in the world will recognize Fred's need to wiggle..Schneider's pastel paintings show the suppressed energy through the changing colors of these two playful characters. All the anthropomorphized sea creatures have large eyes and expressive faces; they would show well to a group. Kirkus Reviews

Fred tries to stay still, but it's so hard to keep that bouncing feeling inside. Fred can't help it. He just wants to play.

A positive book about friendship and children who are just a little bit more energetic than others. For big and small readers ages 4 and up.
