‘Africa Wakeup – O BOSSO!!!’ presents through a poetic format a broad overview of the existential issues facing Africa and Africans. The choice of poetry is intended for awareness raising, self-determination, and sustainable psychological, sociocultural and ecological transformations. ‘Africa Wakeup – O BOSSO!!!’ is subdivided into the following four parts: 1. Part I: ‘The Dark Prelude’ highlights the massive exodus of Africans to other continents, colonisation, and ceaseless internecine wars; 2. Part II: ‘Hard Talk’ seeks to raise Africans’ awareness of the threats and opportunities of the 3rd Scramble for Africa; 3. Part III: ‘The Tricky Transition’ warns of the dangers of regressing to slavery mindset, while presenting an optimistic vision of hope; 4. Part IV: ‘The Way Forward’ suggests mindset for right choices, objective decisions, self-determination, and fulfilment of Africa’s cosmic destiny.
