I feel a re-occurring disturbance and concern for this human situation and, thus, this book is my little contribution towards achieving this goal. "Beyond Africa's Democratic Experiments (An Odyssey Towards Inclusive and More Humanized World)" is a book which looks at the concept of Democracy and its applications with objective analysis. It sharply observes that democracy as a political ideology, although it has a lot of riches and values to offer to humankind, is weak both in its nature and its practical applications in realizing those basic human nostalgic desires in terms of qualitative and dignified standards; in terms of bridging the gap between the rich and the poor; in terms of rooting out greed and exploitation; in terms of dismantling the culture of moral complacency. Africa especially and the so called Third World countries seem to be at the receiving end since they appear to be desperate in catching up with the tempo which the Western societies have set in political stability and in economic and technological advancements. Consequently continental Africa and by extension the Black race palpably seem to occupy the most geographical locus in the world map where the poverty of democracy has battered and effected the worst devastating blows. This is the main focus of this book. This book however looks beyond Africa as its title reveals to the events and happenings in some other democratic nations, especially in Europe and America. Democracy suffers the same fate in the West because this ideological concept has the same conceptual nature and moreover is applied by the same human beings living in the society.
